Nobody could have expected this weekend to go as it did. Races on this track are most commonly straightforward and don't have many surprises. Yet, this year was nowhere close to that. Sergio Perez came in 2nd to secure Red Bull's second 1-2 of the year. "Who's third?" Well, it's none other than our consistent Mercedes driver GR63. Yes, he strikes again, once again beating his partner Lewis Hamilton.

The wind played a big role in this race as it ended up making both Sainz and Verstappen go off track multiple times. This played to Charles's benefit as he could build up his gap to keep off the drivers behind. It seemed as if he would cruise to victory, but this is F1 and nothing goes to plan.

Charles suffered an engine failure on lap 47 causing him to sadly retire. Max and George battled it out P1 and with the use of team orders on Perez, Max was able to regain the lead with Sergio as a buffer.

This race was surprisingly super fun, and has to be my second favorite race after Bahrain. Next up is Monaco!
