Formula One introduced the second US track on this 2022 calendar to be the first Miami Grand Prix. This weekend was predicted to be a strong one for Red Bull but had some great fights. Max took P2 off of Sainz almost immediately, and soon after closed the gap to pole-sitter LeClerc. On lap 9, VER overtook LeClerc, it seemed as if he would just cruise to victory, but when the VSC came out the fun began.

When Gasly and Norris crashed on lap 41, Perez jumped on the opportunity and pitted for fresh mediums to hunt down the Ferrari drivers. At the front, VER was struggling to swim away from LEC and PER was gaining on SAI. All the way to the checkered flag, the four drivers battled it out. Yet, both LeClerc and Perez couldn't make the final move so the order finished as, in order: VER, LEC, SAI, PER, and so on.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure how much I was going to like this track, but it was so much fun to watch. I look forward to the race next year and we also have the third US f1 race coming soon (Vegas!)
